The price quoted is per van per day. So the hire of 2 x 3.5 Tonne vans would be £400 per day and so on. 1 x 3.5 Tonne van over 3 days would be £600 etc. The fee is for local moves or to neighbouring towns and cities. For moves over long distance please contact our office for a quote.
Hire of Staff
£35 per hour for drivers
Taking care of driving, protecting furniture, stacking the van and so on
£25 per hour for porters
Taking care of loading and unloading, dismantling furniture and so on
Please note we don't offer a van hire only service. We offer full moving services with a minimum removal crew of 2. So a driver will be needed for each van, and then a number of porters to assist the driver depending on the size of the move.
Payment Terms
The initial booking of the van must be paid for in advance to secure your date. So if 1 x 3.5 Tonne van is required for example, then a deposit of £200 is needed in advance to book your date. If payment isn't made in time, you could lose your date to another paying customer. Vans are booked out on a first come first served basis and no date can be reserved without initial payment beforehand.
The labour fee is billed in block hours only and not in stages of say 10, 20 or 30 minutes, so for example, on a 2-man service anything up to 1 hour is billed at £60, anything up to 2 hours £120, anything up to 3 hours £180 and so on.
The initial payment is made via bank transfer or card payment. Once the move has taken place, the balance for labour is due on the same day which can be paid the same way as the deposit or can be settled by cash to the crew foreman.
